Speaker content: Deirdre will discuss the opportunities and risks presented by AI for our society and the importance of viewing through a human-centred lens. Siobhán O'Leary is CEO of The Institute of Applied AI. She works with leaders and teams to build AI literacy, implement responsible governance, and translate AI potential into operational capability. With an engineering background and leadership experience in regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing at Janssen, she brings a systems and compliance lens to AI adoption. She has delivered AI talks for MTU, ISPE, and MSLETB, and speaks regularly on AI strategy and governance.

The United Women of Europe (UWE) is pleased to invite you to the next Annual General Meeting of University Women of Europe on the 2-4 October in Bucharest, Romania. The AGM will be combined with a one day conference, the theme is: “Beyond Boundaries: Define the New Era of Women's Leaders”. What does modern leadership look like today? How women are leading differently in business, politics and society? We need to cross from hierarchy to collaborative, inclusive leadership models, innovate and acknowledge the role of technology in shaping leadership.
